As research datasets grow in size and complexity, Globus provides a secure and efficient platform for transferring, sharing, and archiving research data. This workshop will demonstrate how Globus supports effective data management practices, from moving active research data between systems like Quest and RDSS, to securely sharing data with collaborators, and preparing your data for long-term data archiving.
You will learn to use Globus for one-time and recurring transfers, how to integrate Globus into your Quest or automated workflows, and how to apply best practices for efficiently organizing data. By the end of the session, you’ll understand how Globus can fit into your broader research data management strategy to improve efficiency, reproducibility, and data integrity while reducing manual effort.
