EquiTech Hackathon is a multi-day hackathon designed to promote equity, accessibility, and inclusion in technology. The event empowers students, especially those from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds in STEM, to collaborate, learn, and build impactful technical solutions in a welcoming, beginner-friendly environment.
EquiTech features a virtual opening session, flexible remote and in-person build days, and an in-person final showcase with judging, prizes, and food. Participants will work in teams to develop creative projects, gain hands-on experience, and present their ideas to a panel of judges. Through collaboration, innovation, and community, EquiTech aims to lower barriers to entry in tech while celebrating diverse perspectives and ideas.
Opening session is on February 27th from 7:30 Pm-8:30 PM online. The Zoom link will be sent to everyone who registers.
Closing Session will be on March 1st from 3:00-6:00 PM in Ryan Auditorium.
