Coaches’ Corner @ Northwestern University: In Conversation with Kelly Ross

Friday, March 27, 2026 | 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM CT

Join us for a conversation with MSLOC alum and coaching faculty Kelly Ross, as she  shares insights from the book she co-wrote with other master coaches, Fearless Feedback: A Guide for Coaching Leaders to See Themselves More Clearly and Galvanize Growth.

In today’s leadership landscape, leaders, coaches, consultants, and talent professionals are looking for better ways to gather and deliver meaningful feedback. Not just standard surveys, but real conversations that lead to insight and growth. How do we help leaders hear what they need to hear, while honoring the emotions and fears that can surface? And how do we design feedback conversations that spark motivation instead of defensiveness?

Kelly will introduce the book’s practical seven-step framework for structuring stakeholder feedback and explore elements of the book, including:

- The risks and key considerations before collecting feedback
- How to balance process and emotion—and notice your own comfort zone as a coach
- Reflection questions for both coach and client to deepen insight
- Real-world dialogue examples that show what works (and what doesn’t)

This session is designed for leadership coaches, HR partners, and organizational leaders who want to help clients, leaders, and direct reports see themselves more clearly—and translate courageous feedback into meaningful, sustained growth.

Come ready to reflect, question, and strengthen your feedback practice.
