Join scientists, engineers, and partners from around the world for a fast-paced global update on the science, engineering, and collaboration shaping the future of astronomy.

Broadcast live from teams around the world, the inaugural Giant Magellan Summit will host a 45-minute livestream offering a front-row view into the progress and future of one of the world's most ambitious scientific projects: the Giant Magellan Telescope. The program will feature updates from across the GMT's international consortium.

Experts will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the engineering, science, and international collaboration driving the observatory toward first light in the 2030s, with an opportunity to ask questions directly to the team building the telescope.  Meet the new president, Daniel T. Jaffe, and hear his vision for the next phase of the GMT, including plans to complete the National Science Foundation's Major Facilities Final Design Phase, new investments, and global progress.

Participants are encouraged to submit their questions for the Q&A in advance.
