Curious about hiking but not sure where to start? Join us for a beginner-friendly day hike to Indiana Dunes National Park! This trip is perfect for anyone who wants to try hiking for the first time, spend time outdoors, and explore one of the Midwest's most beautiful natural landscapes.
Located along the southern shore of Lake Michigan, Indiana Dunes National Park features sandy trails, scenic overlooks, and diverse ecosystems, including dunes, forests, and wetlands. Our group will explore a beginner-appropriate trail at a relaxed pace, with time to take in the views, learn about the area, and enjoy a day outside with fellow students.
Transportation will be provided via bus to and from the park, making the trip easy and accessible. Participants will also receive a snack during the hike and a packed lunch to enjoy at the park. To help everyone feel prepared, there will be a required pre-trip meeting the week prior, where we'll review the itinerary, discuss what to bring, and answer any questions.
Whether you're looking to try hiking for the first time, meet new people, or simply spend a day outdoors, this trip is a great way to experience a new place and build confidence on the trail.
