Food Insecurity, Health Outcomes and Community Solutions
The Scholars Exchange | April 2026
Food insecurity is a critical driver of health disparities, influencing outcomes across individuals, families, and communities. Addressing these challenges requires not only identifying inequities, but also developing sustainable, community-centered solutions.
In this session, Jenny Jia, MD, MSc—Physician-Scientist and Assistant Professor in General Internal Medicine, Preventive Medicine, and Medical Social Sciences at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine—will share how health disparities related to food insecurity can be identified and addressed through community-based approaches.
Admission is complimentary, but advance registration is required as space is limited.
