Title: Towards the right equivariant LEFT
Abstract: The Landweber exact functor theorem (LEFT) is a machine that eats some algebraic data and produces a generalized cohomology theory on spaces. Only very special theories arise this way: they all have characteristic (Chern) classes, they all have Thom isomorphisms, they're totally determined by the theory of complex cobordism MU, and most of them play central roles in chromatic homotopy theory. My thesis paints some of the G-equivariant version of the LEFT picture, for G a compact abelian Lie group.
