SoC I EPICS: Navigating The Move To NYC

Monday, May 4, 2026 | 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM CT
Online

Curious what life really looks like after Northwestern and how to make the leap to New York City?

Join us for a Life After NU conversation featuring a recent School of Communication alum, Jordan Knitzer,  who will share firsthand insights on transitioning to NYC and the practical side of moving during the hectic rental season of May - October, including how to secure housing and how to time your search alongside job offers, auditions, or freelance work.

Designed as an informal and supportive space, the event will also include time for live Q&A to help you navigate your own post-grad move to New York with clarity and confidence.

Jordan Knitzer is a New York City native who grew up on the Upper West Side and a 2020 Northwestern School of Communication graduate in theatre. He now works as a real estate agent at Compass on the Doyle Team, one of the top 25 teams in New York City, specializing in Upper Manhattan, Downtown Manhattan, and Brooklyn. Jordan brings a personalized, transparent approach to every client relationship, with deep neighborhood knowledge and a genuine passion for helping people find their place in the city he grew up in. Outside of real estate, he is an active musical theatre writer with productions and workshops across New York.
