Abstract: Let R be a commutative ring and A a smooth commutative R-algebra.
The HKR filtration interpolates between the Hochschild homology and the
algebraic differential forms of A/R. Hochschild homology carries its circle action,
while differential forms carry the de Rham differential. There is a structure
on the HKR filtration, called a "filtered circle action", that interpolates between
these two structures; I will try to explain how this goes.
