The Havey Institute for Global Health invites you to the December IGH Seminar.

The Havey Institute for Global Health Seminar Series is held the first Wednesday of each month, September through July, and features the research and ideas of outstanding global health leaders at Feinberg, the larger Northwestern community, and beyond. 

Our December speaker is:

Katie Holroyd, MD
Assistant Professor of Neurology
Columbia University Irving Medical Center

Katie Holroyd is a neurohospitalist and neuroinfectious diseases physician at Columbia University. She completed medical school at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine followed by neurology residency at the Harvard Massachusetts General and Brigham and Women's Hospitals, where she was elected chief resident. Subsequently, she underwent fellowship training in global health and neuroinfectious diseases through the International Neuro-HIV Cure Consortium. Her current research seeks to improve understanding of the pathophysiology, prevention, and treatment of cognitive impairment and cerebrovascular disease in people living with HIV. She is also involved in work evaluating the neurologic safety of HIV treatment interruption and cure trials globally.
