A beginner-friendly introduction to using generative AI tools effectively.

If you’re not yet using generative AI regularly in your work, unsure which tools are appropriate for your data, or unclear about the difference between chatbots, agents, and APIs, this workshop is for you. Join us for a practical introduction to the current AI landscape: what tools exist, how to choose among them, and how to use them safely with different types of research data. You’ll try out strategies for getting better output and experiment to learn where AI is and isn’t helpful. This workshop focuses on general use of AI tools with everyday research tasks and is not a coding workshop.

Prerequisites: No prior experience is necessary. Bring your laptop.
