Speaker: Kevin H. Gardner Ph.D; Director, Structural Biology Initiative, CUNY Advanced Science Research Center

Lecture title: "Using nature’s inspiration to drug the “undraggable”: HIF-2alpha inhibitor, belzutifan"

Abstract: Using a combination of structural biology, biochemistry, and chemistry, I will show how studies of environmental sensory proteins – particularly ligand-regulated protein/protein interaction systems – reveal insights both into natural signaling mechanisms and ways that these can be exploited for therapeutic and biotech advances.
