Eight weeks’ worth of research and hard work culminates in the 2026 Summer Undergraduate Research Program Symposium! Join us for a poster session and light refreshments with our summer students to learn about their exciting research projects and celebrate their accomplishments.

About the Summer Undergraduate Research Program
The NITMB Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) offers summer fellowships to undergraduates to engage in research at the interface between mathematics and biology. Students participate in hands-on laboratory or computational research that applies quantitative concepts and methodology to understanding mechanisms in biology.
