The 2026 Computation + Journalism Symposium (C+J) is a space for anyone working at or curious about the intersection between journalists, news, and technology. The conference features a unique mix of practicing journalists, including freelancers, data journalists, and engineers in newsrooms or working on news-related products; and academics working in fields like computational social science, human-computer interaction, digital humanities, and more.

Two days of talks, workshops, panels, and demos exploring the state of computation and journalism. Join practitioners and scholars from journalism, computer science, data science, and more. Topics include data-driven investigations, audiences, platforms, and new tools & workflows!
