Marking the centennial of Northwestern University Bands, the Symphonic Wind Ensemble opens the 2026-27 concert season with cherished music that has shaped the ensemble’s history and identity. Featured composers include Richard Strauss, Darius Milhaud, Jaromír Weinberger, and Malcolm Arnold, with arrangements by former Northwestern Directors of Bands Glenn Cliffe Bainum and John P. Paynter.
