Marking the centennial of Northwestern University Bands, the Symphonic Wind Ensemble opens the 2026-27 concert season with music that has shaped the ensemble’s history and identity. Inspired by the artistic legacies of Glenn Cliffe Bainum, John Paynter, and Mallory Thompson, the program features works cherished by generations of Northwestern conductors, performers, and audiences alike.
