Inna Naroditskaya, presenter

A contemporary of Sergei Rachmaninoff and Alexander Scriabin, Nikolai Medtner composed a substantial number of works for the piano. His distinctive compositional style was unique, intense, and technically challenging, influencing a small but devoted circle of admirers during his lifetime and inspiring generations of performers to the present day. Bienen musicology professor Inna Naroditskaya discusses his life and legacy.
