Bienen students, faculty, and special guests present a concert showcasing the radical work of Italian Fluxus composer, artist, and theorist Giuseppe Chiari to celebrate the centennial anniversary of his birth. Chiari’s work focuses on everyday actions and the fundamental power of human gesture to create musical expression. The concert features foundational solo works from the 1960s (Teatrino, Gesti sul piano, Per Arco) as well as the group work Quel che volete and music by Chiari’s friend and collaborator Sylvano Bussotti.
