If you’re not yet using generative AI regularly in your work, unsure which tools are appropriate for your data, or unclear about the difference between chatbots, agents, and APIs, this workshop is for you. Join us for a practical introduction to the current AI landscape: what tools exist, how to choose among them, and how to use them safely with different types of research data. You’ll learn strategies for getting better output and when AI is and isn’t likely to be helpful. This workshop focuses on general use of AI tools with everyday research tasks and is not a coding workshop. The format is primarily lecture and questions.
Prerequisites: No prior experience is necessary. Bring your laptop.
