The Black Arts Consortium is eager to collaborate with the Lyric Opera of Chicago for a robust discussion of the Pulitzer Prize winning opera, Omar on Thursday, October 22nd at 7pm in Wirtz Center Chicago. BAC Assistant Director Anthony Dante Jones will moderate a panel of Northwestern graduate students in a discussion delving into the literary and historic preservation of Omar Ibn Said's 1831 manuscript, and its presentation of the operatic stage during Lyric's performance run Friday October 23rd-Wedensday October 28th.
