Human Skills in an AI World: Rethinking L&D - Presented by the Masters in Learning and Organizational Change

Thursday, November 12, 2026 | 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM CT

AI is reshaping how organizations build capability — but how much, and in what ways? This panel brings together experienced L&D practitioners to unpack current trends in learning and development and where AI is genuinely changing design and delivery versus where the fundamentals still hold. We'll dig into a central tension many practitioners are facing: as more tasks can be offloaded to AI, how do you make sure people are still building the skills they need?

Panelists will share real stories from their work — what they're seeing, what's working, and what they're still figuring out. This session is open to everyone and reflects the kinds of conversations we have in MSLOC, including in our Designing for Organizational Effectiveness and Leading AI-Powered Organizational Change certificates.

The session will be moderated by MSLOC faculty member Ryan Smerek, author of Organizational Learning and Performance: The Science and Practice of Building a Learning Culture. Join us for a conversation with an impressive set of panelists from across leadership development, enterprise learning, and workforce transformation.
