We are the Keynotes, Northwestern University’s premiere graduate student a cappella group!
Originally formed as the Catatonics in 1997, the group continues to bring Northwestern graduate students together to sing music across many genres. We have performed both on and off the Evanston campus, at showhalls, street corners, and more!
We will be holding auditions October 4th, 2026 in the Parkes Hall Choir Room! All graduate level students in any program at Northwestern are welcome. Please email keynotes@u.northwestern.edu for any queries. We look forward to seeing many new faces this year.
Auditions will be broken into two segments, with the first round taking place between 10AM and 12:30PM. Each segment will have individual audition slots, but you may want to bring something to do in case we run a little behind! You can sign up for your individual solo audition time slot here. Please follow this link to our website for more detailed information about how to prepare for the audition process.
