Women in Technology invites all Northwestern IT staff to attend a Fall Bird Walk on Tuesday, October 20, from 10–11:15 a.m., on the Evanston Campus.
Let's flock together for a one-hour bird walk around campus during fall migration season! You will be led by Northwestern IT’s Jarrod Routh, migration bird monitor and an avid birdwatcher, who has 264 species on his Cook County life list. No birding experience required. Just bring comfortable shoes and an eagle eye. It's going to be owl-some! 🦉
Meet in front of 1800 Sherman at 10 a.m. and then we'll "wing" our way through campus, along the lagoon, and possibly out to the Clark Street Beach Bird Sanctuary in search of kinglets, juncos, sparrows, grebes, ducks, and gulls.
Please mark your calendar or fill out this form to receive an invite. No RSVP is required. The estimated walking distance during the event is approximately 1.6 miles (map).
NOTE: The benefits and services provided by Northwestern University’s employee groups are available to all employees without regard to any category protected by the law.
