In this research talk, Dr. Haywood will present preliminary findings from a CDTR Pilot study to examine the influence of disability on routine diabetes care. Then, she will discuss plans for a new project funded by the American Diabetes Association to extend the work of her pilot into community health centers with an added focus on aging and functional change for older adults managing diabetes at home
