HEFNU Virtual Speakers Bureau Highlight Event:

"Postwar Justice in Dialogue"

Wednesday, November 4, 10 AM PT/12 PM CT/1 PM ET
Online Only | Registration required

Featuring Rachel Blumenthal (Hebrew University in Jerusalem), Benjamin Frommer (Northwestern University), and Stefan Ionescu (Chapman University)

How did European societies confront the legacy of Nazi persecution after 1945? This Virtual Speakers Bureau Highlight Event explores the diverse paths of legal justice in Romania and Austria, as well as the role of the Nuremberg Trials in Czechoslovakia, France, and Norway, underscoring how political systems, shifting borders, and Cold War realities shaped postwar responses to perpetration. By presenting criminal trials in their respective contexts, these speakers will share how the pursuit of justice was uneven and dependent on various political and national factors.

Join this Highlight Event to hear how leading scholars in the Holocaust Educational Foundation's Virtual Speakers Bureau could bring their expertise into your classroom.
