The Indigenous Methods Lab period is a bi-weekly interdisciplinary group where participants can share their ongoing work and find a community to reflect on current topics in the fields of Indigenous Studies, NAIS, and Indigenous Research Methods. Meetings are open to all scholars with an interest in Indigenous methods or studies, and our goals are to...

1. Build an intellectual community on campus!

2. Facilitate intergenerational mentoring across disciplines

3. Operate as a working group through sharing current and future work for peer feedback: Practicing conference or job talks / Sharing writing at any stage for group feedback (proposals, manuscripts, articles, dissertation chapters, thesis, etc) / Sharing project work

4. Operate as a reading group by sharing current literature around Indigenous methods: Collectively selecting articles on Indigenous methods to share with the group for discussion / Selecting 1-2 books a year (CNAIR will purchase) / Selecting new topical areas for article discussion (when no sign ups available)

5. Discuss incorporating Indigenous methods into current work or spaces: Share resources on project development incorporating Indigenous methods or ethics into project work
