The Center for Responsible Technology, Policy and Public Dialogue brings people together for bold, honest, and informed conversations about technology and society. This year, the Center is partnering with the Lincoln Lodge, a nonprofit comedy venue in Wicker Park, on Funny in the Age of AI, a quarterly series that takes those conversations to a new setting.
The first event focuses on education. It opens with short talks from Chicago Public Schools teacher and comedian David Donnick, Northwestern psychologist and Center Co-Director Claudia Haase, and therapist and Evanston parent Angela Jones. Comedian Adam Burke, a regular panelist on NPR’s Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!, will then moderate a Q&A about what AI means for learning, development, and social relationships. Chicago comedian Jeanie Doogan, a former educator, closes the evening with stand-up.
