for American Studies Program
The American Studies Program is a competitive-admissions major that examines the development and expression of U.S. culture and the diverse experiences of Americans and others affected by Americans locally, nationally, and globally. In small seminars with faculty drawn from a broad range of the humanities and social sciences, American Studies undergrads build their individualized study program and senior research project via interdisciplinary, comparative, and internationally-oriented coursework that is focused on developing skills of analysis and expression.
