Christina Wolbrecht is associate professor of political science at the University of Notre Dame. Her areas of expertise include American politics, political parties, gender and politics, and American political development. Wolbrecht is the author of The Politics of Women's Rights: Parties, Positions, and Change, which received the 2001 Leon D. Epstein Outstanding Book Award from the Political Organizations and Parties Section of the APSA, as well as the author or co-author of a number of articles published in leading political science journals. She is co-editor of the forthcoming CQ Guide to U.S. Political Parties (with Marjorie Hershey [lead editor] and Barry Burden), Political Women and American Democracy (with Karen Beckwith and Lisa Baldez) and The Politics of Democratic Inclusion (with Rodney E. Hero).
