Dubbed the "fairy godmother to finance ministers in distress" by The Guardian, Lee C. Buchheit, a senior partner at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, LLP, was a chief architect of the Greek debt restructuring plan and has been involved at a high level in debt negotiations in Iceland, Iraq, Russia, among others. In this public talk, sponsored by the Buffett Institute's Global Capitalism & Law Research Group, he will reflect on the Eurozone debt crisis and the politics of sovereign debt restructuring.
