Highlighting work by scientist Tommy Rock & filmmaker Jeff Spitz. This event will take place twice: March 8 (in Evanston) and March 9 (in Chicago).
JEFF SPITZ, Director of the multi-award winning film & web series, The Return of Navajo Boy and TOMMY ROCK (Navajo scientist - water activist) will show clips and discuss impacts resulting from their documentary investigations in the Navajo Nation where abandoned uranium mines contaminate soil, water, houses and livestock.
Event will also feature International Indigenous Youth Member Carlos Tochtli and Navajo Nation Member Craig Tsosie.
Lunch will be served.
