On Thursday, February 15th at 7pm in Harris Hall 107 our students from NULBA (Luso-Brazilian Association) in collaboration with Alianza (Latinx Students Alliance) will be hosting a movie night fundraiser to collect funds for Puerto Rico, still much impacted by Hurricane Maria.
After a short presentation by our own Puerto Rican Grad Student Zorimar Rivera Montes, you are invited to watch the movie 200 Cartas/ Finding Maria Sanchez, featuring Lin-Manuel Miranda. It's a romantic comedy that takes you to the whole island.
There will be Brazilian and Mexican treats, pão de queijo and pan dulce, along with other treats you can enjoy during the film.
What a great initiative of our students! Let's participate! Let's invite everyone! And especially, let's donate to this great cause!
