Film Screening - Lisbela and the Prisoner

The Portuguese Language Department invites you to a screening of the film Lisbela e o Prisioneiro. Lisbela is a young woman who loves going to the movies. Leléu is a con man. He gets involved with Linaura, a woman who happens to be the wife of the most frightening hitman in town. Escaping from the hitman, Leléu runs to another town, meeting Lisbela. Lisbela and Leléu fall in love but they will suffer pressure from her family, the social milieu and with their own doubts and hesitations. Will they follow their destinies? As Lisbela herself says, the fun is not knowing what happens, it is to know how it happens and when it happens. Brazilian sweets will be served!
