Celebrate Feminist Leader, Sekile Nzinga: 2019 YWomen Leadership Award Honoree
Dr. Sekile Nzinga is the Director of the Women's Center at Northwestern, the Co-Chair of the Gender-Queer, Non-Binary, and Trans Task Force, faculty in Gender and Sexuality Studies, and sits on the working Board of Directors for the Chicago Abortion Fund. Her commitment to gender equity spans from her early career in social work, through her ongoing role as a scholar, activist, and author, and forward as she works to build a foundation of feminist leadership that seeks to make NU safe and equitable for all gender identities.
The reception will focus on Dr. Nzinga's work as it intersects with the mission of the YWCA and campus initiatives for gender justice.
