Portuguese Language Program Invites you to meet,
Brazilian Indigenous Poet, Writer and Activist Marcia Kambeba
Marcia Bambeba has a Bachelor’s and a Master's degree in Geography, the latest from Amazonas Federal University. She documented the history of the Omágua Kambeba people from the sixteenth to the twenty-first century, examining the relationship between territory, identity, and ethnicity. She is a writer and a poet. Her poetry denounces the invisible life of indigenous peoples. She is running for Belém do Pará city council.
On this link you can read one of her thought-provoking books, "O Lugar do Saber".
