Abstract: In this talk I will first give an update on the DES Y3 cosmology results using two-point functions of weak lensing and galaxy clustering, as well as the mild discrepancy seen between weak lensing and the primary CMB results from Planck. Next I will talk about two main directions we are working on to extract additional information from the cosmic fields to understand this discrepancy — first using more small-scale information (using HOD and cross-correlation of galaxies and tSZ) and second to go beyond two-point statistics (such as peaks and high-order moments). I will end with some outlook towards the next weak lensing survey on the horizon, the Rubin Observatory’s Legacy Survey of Space and Time.
