Emily Silverman, MD is an internal medicine physician at UCSF and creator/host of The Nocturnists, an independent medical storytelling organization that has uplifted the voices of 350+ clinicians through its sold-out live performances and award-winning podcast. Her writing has been published in The New York Times, Virginia Quarterly Review, JAMA, CHEST, and more. She lives in San Francisco with her husband, daughter, and many plants.
