A lunch and lecture with Ashlee Burnett | Please register by May 18
The lecture will explore the coloniality of gender and its role in shaping masculinities that enable a culture of violence in the Caribbean. It will discuss the ongoing interventions and proposed additional solutions that utilizes gender transformative approaches in and through education to address gender-based violence in the Caribbean.
Ashlee is an award-winning Trinbagonian-born educator who is pursuing her MSc Education at the University of Bristol. She is an Advisor to the Global Advisory Committee for the Caribbean region at FRIDA, the Young Feminist Fund, and serves as the Learning, Research and Creative Lead at Transform Education hosted by the United Nations Girls Education Initiative.
