Are you curious about what it means to do fieldwork? Have you been in the field and want to think through how to improve your approach? Are you finished with fieldwork and want to impart your wisdom to other students? 
Please join us to discuss all things fieldwork on Wednesday May 31st, in a four-part hybrid event! We will host current student, faculty and alumni panelists, and you are welcome come for one session or for the whole day. All sessions will be hybrid.

8:45 am: Introductions 

9:00-10:00 am: IRB and Ethics  
-Panelists: Rana Khoury, Assistant Professor at UIUC and Sarah Moore, PhD Candidate, Northwestern University

10:00-10:15 am: break

10:15-11:15 am: Conducting Interviews
-Panelists: Pilar Manzi Gari, PhD Candidate, Northwestern University; Wendy Pearlman, Professor at Northwestern University; Justin Zimmerman, Assistant Professor at SUNY Albany

11:15-11:30 am: break

11:30 am-1:00 pm: Fieldwork 101: from Ethics to Ethnographic Technique
-Keynote speaker: Mneesha Gellman, Associate Professor at Emerson University

1:30 pm – 2:30 pm: Open Discussion: share your experiences, what you’ve learned, and what you hope to learn.
