Please join the Political Science Department and Prof. Will Reno as we host Brigadier General Ajai Singh Dabas, Lieutenant Colonel J. Clint Tisserand, and Lieutenant Colonel Christina Taylor for an informal roundtable to engage with members of the military. 

Brigadier General Ajai Singh Dabas is a Special Forces officer with 29 years of service in the Indian Army. The officer has operated in diverse terrain including desert, mountains, and jungles. He has commanded a special forces battalion and infantry brigade in rugged, high-altitude area in intense conventional and counter terrorist environment. The officer has tenanted several appointments as a staff officer in an infantry brigade, mountain strike division and the Army Training Command. He has served on instructional appointments in Indian Military Training Team in Bhutan and Defense Services Staff College, Wellington. He is a Master of Science and Philosophy in Defense and Strategic Affairs.

Lieutenant Colonel J. Clint Tisserand is a student at the U.S. Army War College with 21 years of service. Before this duty he was the Operations Officer for the 7th Infantry Division where he synchronized and prioritized Division operations in the Indo-Pacific with a focus on integrated deterrence. He was prepared for the position through two years in command of 1st Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regiment, his experience as the Chief of Deployment at the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps-Turkey, and his time doing HR work in Colonels Officer Management. He holds a BS from the United States Military Academy, an M.Ed from University of Virgina, and an MA from Chapaman University.

Lieutenant Colonel Christina Taylor of the Idaho Army National Guard commissioned in 2002 as a Medical Service Corps Officer. LTC Taylor held a wide variety of leadership assignments in the National Guard including commanding a Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support Team and a Brigade Support Battalion with over 400-personnel. She earned a bachelor’s from the University of Idaho while in the Reserve Officer Training Corps and a master’s in leadership from Central Michigan University. She is currently working on a Master of Strategic Studies at the United States War College. She lives in Boise, Idaho and enjoys mentoring at-risk youth.
