Gemma is a PhD candidate at The University of Sydney. Her research examines how behavioural economics could be used to reduce low-value tests and treatments in medicine. In this talk she will provide an overview of her thesis, present exciting new results from two of her recent studies on suggested alternatives and default options and provide an overview on NUDG-ED, her large clinical trial of nudges embedded in emergency departments currently ongoing in Sydney, Australia.
