Please join Graduate Student Political Theory Workshop for a discussion on Ph.D. student Summer Pappachen's working prospectus, "Democracy of the Oppressed: Lessons from Global Unions."
Abstract forthcoming.
Summer Pappachen works from the groundwork of Marxist, feminist, and postcolonial theory to study the international political economy; transnational solidarities and resistances; labor, and in particular, women's unpaid domestic labor. Methodologically, she is training in ethnography and oral history as interpretive companions to methods in political, economic, and cultural theory.
