Title: Understanding the Well-Being of Jewish College Students
Abstract: The well-being of Jewish college students has become a matter of national interest, having been invoked in everything from Justice Department investigations, to frozen research grants, and updates to campus policies regarding student protests and prohibited conduct. However, surprisingly little research has been done to characterize the well-being of Jewish college students, or to identify features of the campus atmosphere that contribute to their well-being. In this presentation, we describe the results of a large nationwide study we performed to begin filling these gaps in knowledge, with the goal of informing policies about dialogue on campus.
By Greg Miller, Louis W. Menk Professor of Psychology, Co-Director of the Foundations of Health Research Center, and IPR Fellow, and Simone Ispa-Landa, Associate Professor of Human Development and Social Policy, Associate Professor of Sociology, and IPR Fellow.
This event is part of the Fay Lomax Cook Fall 2025 Colloquium Series, where our researchers from around the University share their latest policy-relevant research.
Please note all colloquia this quarter will be held in-person only.
