Description:

Are you an undergraduate student passionate about international or community development? Interested in gaining hands-on experience through an internship abroad?

Join us for an information session on the Roberta Buffett Institute’s Elliott Scholars Program, a competitive and interdisciplinary opportunity for undergraduate students to explore real-world development challenges. The program includes a two-course sequence during the winter and spring quarters, followed by a summer internship abroad through the Global Engagement Studies Institute (GESI) offered by Northwestern’s Global Learning Office.

At this session, you’ll meet Professor Diego Arispe Bazán and GESI program staff, who will walk you through program details including eligibility, academic structure, and the international internship component. You’ll also hear directly from Elliott Scholars alumni, who will share their experiences and offer advice for prospective applicants.

Whether you’re planning to apply or just curious to learn more, this session will provide an overview of the program and valuable tips for crafting a strong application. Lunch will be provided.

This information session will not be recorded. Students who are unable to attend are encouraged to review the program’s webpage and come to the Roberta Buffett Institute’s undergraduate open house.
