Jack Martínez Arias (Hamilton College) presents his most recent novel, Te he seguido, in conversation with Jorge Coronado. The novel tells a love story set in the context of internal migration in the Peruvian Andes. It takes place in the postwar period and during the implementation of neoliberal policies under the dictatorship of Alberto Fujimori.
Bio: Jack Martínez Arias is an Assistant Professor at Hamilton College. He is the author of the novels Bajo la sombra (2014), Sustitución (2017), and Te he seguido (2024). He is also the author of the monograph Literatura y minería en los Andes (1880–1930) and of several scholarly articles on extractivism, ecology, and Indigenous communities of Peru.
