Many patients are asking about and using peptides beyond those that are FDA approved, such as the GLP-1 receptor agonists. In this Osher Grand Rounds presentation, former chair of the American Board of Integrative Medicine and Executive Medical Director of WndrHLTH longevity labs will provide an overview of peptides, focusing on those most commonly being used for patients in order to attempt to optimize performance, immune, healing and longevity.

1 - Understand what constitutes a peptide

2- Recognize the limitations of the research in clinical applications of peptides used for longevity and overall performance.

3 - Understand the purported benefits and risks of the most commonly used peptides and how they are used.

Dr. Spar is board certified in Internal and Integrative Medicine, and served as chair of the American Board of Integrative Medicine. As a clinician, researcher, author, teacher, speaker for multiple media outlets and on the TedX stage, Dr. Spar went on to specialize in personalized medicine for patients focused on optimal performance and chronic illness. Dr. Spar served as Chief Medical Officer and National Medical Director for Vault Health before joining AndHealth as SVP and most recently starting as clinical leader of a third start-up focused on healthy aging and optimal performance. He is on clinical faculty of the University of Arizona AWCIM Fellowship, the Academy for Integrative Health and Medicine Integrative Medicine Fellowship and A4M’s fellowship.
