Tourmaline: Legacies of Living Free. The 40th Anniversary Keynote Address for the Women's Center

Thursday, April 16, 2026 | 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM CT

Best selling author and activist Tourmaline will speak via Webinar about her work on _Marsha: The Joy and Defiance of Marsha P. Johnson_ and its connections to the theme we are using to describe forty years of community, education, and advocacy at the Women's Center: Legacies of Living Free.

We will have time to enjoy Tourmaline in conversation with our own beloved Marquis Bey, author of Black Trans Feminisms and take questions from our audience.

This event will be held via Zoom Webinar. It is free and open to all. Please feel free to share with you networks and, if you are in the Evanston or Chicago area, see our website for information about acquiring a free copy of the book, _Marsha: The Joy and Defiance of Marsha P. Johnson_.
