Designing your own course is an important step in preparing for academic teaching positions. This workshop provides practical guidance on how to develop a syllabus, structure a semester- or quarter-long course, and create assignments that support student learning. Participants will leave with concrete tools for building a course proposal or syllabus that can be included in job applications or used when applying for short-term teaching opportunities.
