Staff Parental Leaves 101 & Caregiving Resources Overview

The Benefits and Wellbeing teams are offering an information session to staff members who will be new parents or are in the planning stages of being a new parent. The Benefits Team will cover topics including - What is FMLA, Who is eligible for FMLA, When to file your claim for parental leave or birth and adoption parental leave a well as Dependent Care FSA coverage. The Wellbeing team will give an overview of Northwestern’s caregiving benefits.  Topics covered will include resources for finding childcare, tuition discounts, financial assistance opportunities for qualifying families (Fee Assistance and Portable Care Grants), and back-up care through Care.com.
