Richard Clark is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Notre Dame, concurrent with the Keough School of Global Affairs, where he is also a Faculty Fellow in the O’Brien Notre Dame International Security Center (ONDISC), Pulte Institute for Global Development, and Kellogg Institute for International Studies. He is additionally a Non-Resident Affiliate of the Arnold A. Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies at Columbia University.
Professor Clarks' research and teaching interests include international cooperation and international political economy, with a focus on globalization, international finance, and climate change. He is the author of Cooperative Complexity: The Next Level of Global Economic Governance, published by Cambridge University Press in 2025, and Global Governance Under Fire: How International Organizations Resist the Populist Wave (with Allison Carnegie), published with Princeton University Press in 2026. His scholarly contributions have also been featured in leading academic outlets such as the American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Politics, International Organization, the Review of International Organizations, and World Politics.
