Join the Roberta Buffett Institute and the Pritzker School of Law’s Energy Innovation Lab (EIL) for a conversation with the Honorable Rachel Jacobson, an American attorney and government official who served as the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations, Energy, & Environment in the Biden administration. She will come to the Evanston and Chicago campuses as a Buffett/EIL Distinguished Visiting Practitioner in late March through early April 2027.
Her previous roles also include senior attorney in the US Department of Justice's Environment & Natural Resources Division; director of the Impact-Directed Environmental Accounts program at the National Fish & Wildlife Foundation; Principal Deputy Solicitor and Acting Assistant Secretary for Fish, Wildlife, & Parks in the US Department of the Interior; and General Counsel for Environment, Energy, & Installations in the US Department of Defense. She later joined Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale & Dorr LLP in 2017 as special counsel. She is currently senior advisor to the Roosevelt Group and an Atlantic Council distinguished fellow at the Adrienne Arsht National Security Resilience Initiative in the Scowcroft Center for Strategy & Security and the Global Energy Center.
